Thanks Karen.

However, I feel that Chase bank was very compatible for that location. Years and years I have been going to that bank. It is sad to think that all the local people who live around there will now have to drive to ERIE for our bank services. I will be very curious to see what will go in Chase.. and of course, Lafayette Florist building.

Thank you, Karen. Her answer seemed short. Not much information. Tebo bought the Laf. Florist building and is looking for a tenant. OK. (Could be anyone.) As to the bank: I do hope a "more compatible business" buys the building. Any ideas on what types of businesses the City would like to see?

Well it's more than that Steven. Brigid is the person responsible for economic development and she said that she and the city administrator, who is the top person running the city on a daily basis, are in regular discussions with Tebo. Also that they have indicated the city would be interested in a partnership to get the right tenant. I read that as them working to try and get some say into what kind of tenant goes into that building. Tebo could come in and scrape the lot which would change the look and feel of Public considerably.

As far as what businesses the city might want to see in the Chase building, I can only guess that might be businesses which sell products that would contribute to our sales tax base, locally owned businesses, and/or businesses that draw people to Public that might be food related. Though food related businesses would have a bigger lift to convert the building than a retail business. I know there is interest in the community for a more quiet evening spot like a wine bar or some place they can gather with friends and family for an evening out.
