I can only speak for myself but I think there needs to be watchdogs and I find I am suited for that. So let me turn the question and ask when are you going to run? :-)
We have some good people on our boards but there are always openings and it's a great way to begin learning the ropes before going for the top spot. It's a way to get one's feet wet and to learn more about the city and how it works. The learning curve once on council is a biggie. I say this to encourage anyone reading to think about how they might participate without jumping in big time first!
