How can we fight the annexation at the ballot box? I will do everything in my power to help stop this development. We moved here in 2012 because of the open space and it’s disappearing fast. Josephine Commons, Willoboughy Corner, Kensington now this.
If the city council votes to annex the property we can challenge that vote by collecting signatures and putting it on the ballot for the voters of Lafayette.
Iʻve said this before, and I will continue to say it. Colorado already has ALL of the water itʻs going to have. There is no magic to increase our rainfall or our snowpack. Aquifers are not being refilled at the rate theyʻre being drained. Developers all claim that they will ensure adequate water resources. I guess I would like to understand where that "new" water is coming from (for the grammarians, from whence the new water comes -"Ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put." Sir Winston Spenser Churchill)
I just called up ChatGPT and asked it to do in depth research on the ability of water to procreate. As I suspected. It canʻt. Just where does he think the extra water is gong to come from?
I will be sending a weekly message to all of the people you suggest about this project. Ditto regarding the Waneka project.
Great plan!!

In this case, the developer admits there isn't enough water, but maybe if they build in "phases" there eventually will be.

Excellent question! I was going to say something very snarky about them but restrained myself. (with great difficulty)
Snark is an absolutely allowable response when the target of the snark has made it obvious that no other response is morally acceptable.
Excellent! I wrote to the city about Kensington's last meeting regarding the Tebo property and it was filled with snark. 🤣
