May 16th is your last chance to provide input to the city regarding the three potential capital projects under consideration. Here’s a page on the city website for info, and here’s the questionnaire. The questionnaire in Spanish.
I’ve written about the three potential projects the city is considering, so I’m not going to repeat what you most likely know by now. If you were the recipient of a poll (I was not), hopefully you’ve made your thoughts known already.
You can find all my reports on this topic here.
The projects are an expansion and renovation of the service center, an expansion and renovation of the recreation center, and a new city hall.
There is one more informational meeting on May 15th, see below. May 16th is your last opportunity to provide input on whether you support any, or all, of these projects.
The results of residents’ input will be shared with the city council, and they will decide if they should move forward with a ballot question this November that will ask for your approval to raise either property taxes or sales taxes for one, two, or three of these projects. They can also decide not to take any of these projects to the voters this year.
