Thank you Karen for your persistence in this effort to make it easier for the public to comment on city issues. You went above and beyond the call to duty by working on the weekend 😁
Ani, I reached out to city staff and expressed my concern over preople having to create an account to give input. I received a reply this morning. The survey has been changed to allow anyone to provide input. Staff has an internal engagement group and they are going to have a discussion about this at their next meeting! This survey was based around seeing if the person lived in Lafayette or not but they can handle that by asking in the survey itself.
Thanks for taking the time to say something about it. You have probably changed the way the city handles this going forward. 😊
Ron I am copying and pasting a reply to another comment so you can see what I did and the response. I reached out to Brigid on the weekend. I received a response this morning.

I can understand doing this once but there seems to be no end. Also I down loaded the zoning code work you described earlier and will look this over...
Ralph since you and others mentioned the requirement to open an account I reached out to staff on the weekend. I received a response this morning.

Karen didn't you say you sent Brigid a message over the weekend 🙄
Ron, I was making a joke about not knowing what a weekend was because I am always doing things on the weekend. 🤣

Ron, what is this weekend thing you are talking about?
I support this project, but don’t want to open an account.

I understand. You are not alone in that. I am going to reach out to city staff and ask that things be done in a different manner.
I agree unless it's needed for security or privacy reasons 🤔
Yes!
I have had an account with the City for sometime and haven't had any issues taking any surveys. I did complete this survey and support the proposal.

Thanks, Ron, I don't have problems logging in either. I don't like the idea that we need to have an account to give input though.
I had a hunch Ja'mal was included in this. He's great. I hope they can get it off the ground. ...and CDOT can do their part in making baseline safer.
I'm glad to hear your thoughts. The survey has a place for you to add comments so you can let staff and LURA know.

Thanks ahain
Are you saying you made an account on Lafayette Listens and now you have to do it again? I have an account and I only have to sign in.
Glad you are checking out the code update info!
Karen I created this once on lafayette listens. A year or two ago they were using a third party app and I had created an account t on that...
That's what I was referring to in my comment. Hope this is the last one.

Hmm, I don't remember any other one. Too many things to track, some fall by the wayside. 😜
Ok yet another survey post to create a login and account for cury surveys. Lord help us with the pain of on line accounts
I do not like that and plan to say something in the comment section of the survey. We should not have to create an account to give input to our city.
Thanks for the heads up again.
