What's really going on with the pool at the Rec Center? And a Pancho proclamation
The pool? Yikes.

The council agenda for August 6th has some items that will interest many community members. I am in pondering mode about how to report on them! But for now, these two seem like a good place to start. I took the easy way out and snagged screenshots of the council packet. The staff memo explaining the situation with the pool at the rec center really lays out what’s been going on and I was in kind of an OMG mode as I read it. Many of our facilities are aging and along with that come a variety of issues. I can attest to that from a personal standpoint!
In all the years I have lived here if the topic of local soccer comes up so does the name Pancho. He is a legend in Lafayette. The council will honor him with a proclamation at their August 6th meeting. At the bottom of this post, I am including info on how to provide input for the meeting for those who might want to add their voice of appreciation for his contribution to our city.
