The Good Stuff: Lafayette Farmers Market!

I’m pleased to share information about something many of you have wanted back in Lafayette, a farmers market. I think you are going to be excited!
In September of 2024 Brigid Keating, our Economic Development Director and Executive Director of the Lafayette Urban Renewal Authority, gave a presentation to the city council along with Peter Wanberg who, along with his wife Margo, will be running a farmers market in Lafayette. I was impressed!
I took some screenshots of the presentation, snagged some info from their Lafayette Farmers Market website (You can sign up for their newsletter there), and checked them out on Instagram after contacting Director Keating for an update and a quote. Here’s what she wrote:

Hi! We are Peter and Margo Wanberg (and Nora, Oliver, and our pup Millie), and we are the organizers of Lafayette Farmers Market. We dove into the farmers market world after years of owning a coffee roasting company (Peter) and a beekeeping company (Margo). We met a lot of incredible vendors during our small business journeys and thought a lot about why there wasn’t more vendor marketing, storytelling, relationship building, and general food advocacy in Front Range farmers markets. So in 2021 we had the opportunity to open the City Park Farmers Market in Denver, and our lives were irrevocably changed for the better. This year we are taking the leap to open our second market in Lafayette where we now live, and we can’t wait to grow alongside the residents and vendor community alike. Cheers!
