Santa Cop in Lafayette. You can help make your neighbor's Christmas a little brighter.
Toy or monetary donations accepted through Dec 8th.
Lafayette’s Santa Cop program
Our police department has been working in the community to provide gifts to families in need during the holidays, going back many years, I am guessing decades. It’s a great way to have a local impact on folks who live in our city who might not be able to give their kids gifts for Christmas.
The Santa Cop Program coordinates the donations with families in need in our community and relies mostly on donations.
If you are shopping for your family and friends this year and can afford to spend a little extra for those who are struggling you might consider buying a few toys or writing a check to help the Santa Cop program.
New toy donation drop-off
New toys appropriate for ages 2-15 are accepted year-round, but toy collection boxes are placed in City facilities during the month of November. Those locations are the Lafayette Police Department, the Public Library, and the Bob Burger Recreation Center.
Monetary donations
Cash, check, or credit card donations can be accepted at the Police Department during normal business hours. If you wish to mail a donation: 451 N. 111 St. Lafayette Co. 80026 Please make the checks payable to the "City of Lafayette”.
Donations for the 2023 program must be received by Dec. 8. Donations received after Dec. 8 will go toward next year's program.
